About Us

I'm a writer.

You can't expect sanity.

    -Alej Gutierrez

Most of us met each other in "Prizen" (as we call it) , and since there was no one else we could talk to there, we became friends. Some of us have known each other longer from other places but it's mainly prizen. As we have a this long period of time in prizen where we can't socialize, we were bored with nothing to do. We weren't allowed to talk to each other. . . So what where we going to do?

The Solution came after many quiet work times when we had nothing to chew on but our thoughts: We should write. After all, we had already "dramaticized" our time in our school's after care by calling it prizen-- How fun it would be to put our thoughts on paper, to write stories about what situations in prisons and such would really be like in real life.

Our first story's name was called Prizen, but it was a complete fail. Our next story was Prizen 2.0, later renamed Chandelier, then renamed again, and again, and again, until we finally re-settled on Chandelier. In the end, Chandelier was approximately 100 pages long, as well as the reason we published this site-- to share our stories with people like you!

There were originally six of us, but now there's seven: Alej Gutierrez, Lilia Cheney, Rose Lin, and Eileen Rainwater, and three more who will be anounced soon (please be aware that most of these are pseudonyms). Everyone is a writer on here, and we all helped write Chandelier. However, some of these stories may only be writen by a smaller subgroup or individually. Eileen and Rose are also our editors in chief. Please enjoy!
